Duration: 1-year Diploma Hours: 800 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) Certificates/Diplomas Provided: KHDA Certification, The Nordic International Beauty and Training Centre Diploma, and a Beauty Therapy Diploma. Internship: 6 months post-graduation / exempt. Eligibility – Secondry level education

Program Overview and Core Competencies

This course is structured across three progressive levels: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Beauty Therapy. It is designed to empower you with the knowledge and practical proficiency required to excel in the industry.

By the end of this program, you will be able to demonstrate competence in the following key areas:

Anatomy and Physiology: Understand the structure and function of the human body, focusing on skin, muscles, and systems relevant to beauty treatments.
Facial and Body Treatments: Gain expertise in cleansing, toning, exfoliation, massage techniques, and carry out both facial and body electrical treatments in a safe manner.
Advanced Techniques: Learn and apply specialized treatments such as microdermabrasion.
Professionalism: Adhere to industry standards, ethical practices, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
Client Management: Assess skin types and conditions and utilize communication skills to provide excellent customer service.

Detailed Course Curriculum by Level

Level 1 Beauty Therapy (Theoretical & Practical)

Foundation & Safety: Study microbiology, the effects of micro-organisms, and methods to prevent infection and contamination.
Anatomy: Skin anatomy, structure of the skin, muscular, lymphatic, and circulatory systems.
Consultation: Skin consultation, contra-indications, skin analysis, and pathology of the skin (disease & disorders).
Wellness: Food nutrition, vitamins, and minerals, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Facial Protocol: Detailed steps to create a professional facial, from welcoming the customer and professional communication to extractions, specialized massage, and aftercare advice.

Level 2 Beauty Therapy (Theoretical & Practical)

Extended Anatomy: In-depth study of the skeletal, nervous, respiratory, and cell anatomy.
Advanced Skincare: Focus on eye treatments, including conditions and concerns, eye massage (drainage, lifting & smoothing), and understanding how medication affects the skin.
Cosmetic Science: Learn the function of cosmetic ingredients, active ingredients, and the benefits of common and natural cosmetic components.
Facial Refinement: Reinforcing Level 1 protocols with advanced customization techniques for skin types and conditions.

Level 3 Beauty Therapy (Theoretical & Practical)

This level is dedicated to mastering electrical equipment and advanced aesthetic protocols.

Electricity & Safety: The structure of an atom, electrical currents (Direct Current, Alternating Current), safety procedures for fires, first-aid for electrical and caustic burns.
Facial Electrical Machines: In-depth training on the characteristics, effects, safety precautions, contra-indications, and procedures for:
- Galvanic: Iontophoresis & Desincrustation.
- High-Frequency.
- Micro-Current.
- Faradic (EMS).
- Vacuum Suction.
- Infra-Red and Ultrasound.
- Microdermabrasion.
Integration: Learning how to incorporate electrical machines into your current facial treatment based on skin type, condition, and concern.
Body Electricals: Training on figure diagnosis, postural defects, and protocols for applying electrical treatments to the body, including Galvanic, EMS, Microcurrent, Vacuum Suction, and G5 Body Treatments.

All three levels are followed by mandatory assessments upon conclusion.
